Beta feature: Optimize Lightroom catalog folders preserving edits and metadata
1
Quit Lightroom, launch Dotphoton Raw. Click "Optimize Lightroom catalog" to locate your catalog file, choose one or more folders to optimize
2
Dotphoton Raw will optimize selected folders and relink your Lightroom catalog file to the newly optimized files to preserve edits and metadata
3
For your security, Dotphoton Raw will copy your original images in their original subfolders and a backup copy of your LR catalog file will be created in its original location
Dotphoton Raw is NOT another proprietary raw format. Optimized images are converted into DNG, the format trusted by Leica, Sony, Apple, Pentax, Ricoh, Adobe and other leading brands.
Can I use optimized images in Lr and other photo-editors? Sure!
Dotphoton-optimized images don't require decompression and are compatible with main photo editing software, i.e. Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, DxO Mark, Photo Mechanic etc. Just compress images in Dotphoton Raw and import them into your software.
Will my images stay mine? 100%
Dotphoton doesn't upload images anywhere online and doesn't have access to your information apart from camera model, which allows us to effectively control compression quality.
The app works offline and optimized images are exported into the folders where you want to have them on your desktop, disks, clouds. Even if you'd stop using Dotphoton Raw they will be there and be yours forever.
